Hello ASHRAE Champlain Valley Chapter Members,
I hope those who attended our last event at the Better Buildings by Design Conference found it useful. We were fortunate to have an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer visit, and I think it worked well coordinating with the Conference. Presentation slides are now available on our website.
This month our meeting will have a short presentation on Young Engineers in ASHRAE as well as our normal technical presentation. Our current YEA Chair is Tate Colbert, who will be attending a National YEA training soon. He will give us an overview of the YEA group as well as a description of the training he will attend. The technical presentation is on Understanding HVAC & Plant Dynamics in Grow Rooms. Some of has have been involved in grow room projects recently and that work will likely expand in the future. We were able to coordinate a national expert on this topic to join us.

It’s that time of year where our Chapter votes on officers for the upcoming year. Our nominating committee has put together the following slate of officers. We will have a vote on these nominees at our April meeting – between now and then, if anyone else would like to be added to the ballot, please let me know.
