Hello ASHRAE Champlain Valley Chapter Members,
We are past the halfway point of our year and making good progress – I appreciate your patience with our leadership team as we get things back on track where we have been lagging the last few years. I’m excited for our upcoming meeting in February and hope you can join us for the special event at the Better Buildings by Design Conference. It will provide numerous opportunities – to hear from a Distinguished Lecturer, to network with colleagues within and outside (ex. architects) our Chapter, and to attend a Trade Show.
A couple updates I wanted to provide you:
- The monthly “newsletter” is now reconfigured to utilize not only an electronic format, but to better leverage our Chapter’s website – I hope you find the new format useful.
- We had some turnover at the beginning of the year with Chapter positions, but our new team is up to speed now and I think we are on track to be successful in all different areas, particularly Membership Promotion, Resource Promotion, Young Engineers, and Website.
- Our Government Affairs Committee continues to do excellent work and provide monthly updates.
- We have had a lot of interest in and uptake with our new Sponsorship program. Please review the offer if you haven’t already and let us know what would work with your company!
- We have updated the Job Postings page on the website – please see the one current posting, and let us know if your Company would like to advertise here as well.
- Our monthly Board of Governors meeting minutes will continue to get posted on the website – feel free to review if you are interested and feel free to give us any feedback you may have.
